Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park is one of Kenya’s most dramatic and diverse safari landscapes, known for its rugged volcanic scenery, open savannahs, and striking contrasts of red earth, lava flows, and lush green springs. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, and large buffalo herds, often seen moving across vast, untamed plains. One of its most iconic features is the Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water flows from underground streams, attracting hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. Visitors are also drawn to the Shetani Lava Flows, a vast black volcanic field that tells a story of the park’s ancient geological past. With its mix of wildlife, scenery, and raw wilderness, Tsavo West offers a more secluded and atmospheric safari experience compared to Kenya’s more crowded parks.
