About This Trip

This tour will take you to Murchison Falls National Park. Expect a detour visit to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a game drive, and a launch trip to the bottom of the falls. Thereafter, transfer to Kibale National Park for the chimp trekking experience. Exit Kibale and go to Bwindi for the ultimate gorilla experience. From Bwindi, you will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will enjoy a game drive plus a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel before concluding in Entebbe.

Itinerary

Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

On arrival at the airport, a representative of WildPulse Adventures will be eagerly waiting to receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight stay. You will have dinner depending on your time of arrival. You will spend the night at Cassia Lodge before heading out to the beautiful west of the Pearl of Africa.

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing agricultural lands, homesteads, and roadside fruit and vegetable markets. Stopovers will be made for washrooms, stretching, and photography whenever needed. You will have lunch in the beautiful Fort Portal town with spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains and lush green landscapes. After lunch, proceed to your lodge for relaxation as you prepare for chimpanzee trekking the following day.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before starting your chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale National Park. You will then head into the tropical forest in search of chimpanzees, where you will have one hour to observe them after locating them. After lunch, continue for a swamp walk in the Bigodi Community, where you will experience community life through coffee making, banana brewing, basket weaving, and traditional medicine experiences. Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Crater Lakes Region with beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges as you continue exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park. You may spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or opt for a village walk around the surrounding community. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Game Drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, Uganda kobs, and many other wildlife species. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel towards Lake Edward, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous bird species along the shores. Later, continue to Ishasha Sector for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Ishasha Sector for Tree-Climbing Lions

After breakfast, proceed for a game drive in Ishasha Sector, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions often seen resting on fig tree branches. You may also spot elephants, topis, buffaloes, and various bird species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may enjoy another short game drive in Ishasha if you missed the tree-climbing lions before continuing to Bwindi for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. You will hike through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat before trekking back. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, enjoying the winding roads of the Kigezi Highlands with scenic stopovers for photography. On arrival, you may enjoy an optional boat cruise on Lake Mburo or a guided nature walk to spot zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Later, proceed to your lodge for relaxation.

Transfer to Kampala and End of Trip

After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive before exiting Lake Mburo National Park. You will then drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator for lunch, souvenir shopping, and memorable photo sessions. This marks the end of your Uganda primate safari.
