Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda, covering an expansive 2,840 sq km across Amuru and Masindi districts. This safari gem is renowned for its diverse wildlife and the breathtaking Murchison Falls, from which the park derives its name. Within the park, you can encounter the famous "big 5" animals leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and lions as well as hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, Uganda kob, and an array of bird species including the elusive shoebill.
