32ND UGANDA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR: SHOWCASING UGANDA’S BUSINESS AND INNOVATION

The 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair is set to take place from 2–11 October 2026 at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo, Kampala, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibitors and an expected 150,000 visitors. This year's exhibition is running under the theme “Formalising Trade to Secure Uganda’s Economic Future,” with a strong focus on local manufacturing, innovation, trade and investment. The fair has grown into one of Uganda's major platforms for businesses to showcase their products, meet customers and build new commercial connections.

One of the most interesting features of this year's fair will be the showcase of locally developed industrial solutions. Among the innovations expected are refrigerated trucks designed to help transport agricultural produce while maintaining quality, as well as heavy-duty trailers intended to support mineral transportation. These developments highlight how Ugandan manufacturers are increasingly working to create solutions for challenges within the country's supply chains instead of relying entirely on imported products.

The fair will also give consumers an opportunity to interact directly with businesses and discover products across sectors such as food and beverages, construction, electronics, cosmetics, household goods, vehicles and machinery. A new “Black Deals” campaign will feature discounted products, while the organizers have also introduced a digital trading platform to help visitors identify available products and offers. In addition, visitors will have access to a free health camp offering services such as blood pressure and diabetes screening, HIV testing and counselling, medical consultations, vaccination and health education.

Beyond buying and selling, the Trade Fair represents an opportunity to see the changing face of Uganda's economy and the creativity of its businesses. Exhibitors, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors and consumers will come together for ten days of business, learning, networking and entertainment, with live performances and other activities scheduled throughout the exhibition.
